David Rosenzweig

David brings to Incandescent a career built around a single conviction: that enterprise, designed with intention, can be a force for both economic growth and human dignity.

Prior to Incandescent, David co-founded Niandan, an impact investing and advisory firm headquartered in Conakry, Guinea, with the mission of building an entrepreneurial ecosystem in one of the world's most frontier markets. David led firm operations and served as Niandan's impact lead, designing its investment practices and overseeing impact due diligence across the portfolio. In 2024, Niandan launched Nimba Fund, Guinea's first venture capital vehicle designed for SMEs. David now sits on Niandan's Board. Earlier in his career, he worked at Stanford Seed and Empower Africa, supporting entrepreneurs and organizations across the African continent.

David earned his B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University, where he co-led the Stanford Africa Entrepreneurship Network. Outside of work, he is a passionate wildlife and conservation photographer. His work has been recognized by National Geographic and featured at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. He sits on the Advisory Board of the Nature's Best Photography Foundation and is most at home in wild places, with Botswana as his favorite destination and Gabon next on the list.
